The small town of L'Epine lies on the island of Noirmoutier. The south of L'Epine constitutes a long sandy beach while the north part and the port of Le Bonhomme are protected from the sea by a wall overlooking the Bay of Bourgneuf. L'Epine is bordered by Barbâtre to the south-east and Noirmoutier-en-l'Île to the north.
