The village of Saint-Samson is built on a hill and has less of a seaside feel than the other Rance villages. Don't miss the lock of Le Chatelier, situated at the neck of the river, which has become the barrier between fresh water and sea water. Also not to be missed is the carved stone of La Tiemblaye and the numerous surprises that this protected nature reserve has to offer.
